Fastpath is a scummy pay to win server doing very dodgy things with your Steam information:
They run a SCAM, harvesting Players Steam Authentication Tickets by doing illegal redirects and dodgy hacks:
The best advice we can give you is to stay away and never click on their servers.
Explanation:
Illegal redirecting
1. You join a server that you think you know, but then it was not what you thought... / you join a new server you want to discover (not fastpath, but in fact... it is just an IP which belongs to them, BAM they got your auth ticket!)
2. It redirects you to Fastpath without you agreeing to it
3. Then Fastpath presents you with pay to win features and ask you for money directly - and of course they steal your auth ticket. More on this further:
Stealing Authentication Tickets
Fastpath has found a dirty trick to fake player count in the servers list in order for their SCAM to work and this is highly unfair on other servers and players
Explanation of Auth Ticket:
When you join a HL2DM server, an auth ticket is sent to Steam, telling Steam: that player is now on Zeitgeist for instance.
---> now your chat avatar is green on STEAM and it shows you are playing on Zeitgeist if someone clicks on info.
When you disconnect, Zeitgeist sends a message to Steam saying that you have disconnected - cancel the auth ticket.
---> now your chat avatar is back to blue on STEAM, you are not in game.
What Fastpath does:
1. You disconnect.
2. They do not send the second message to Steam when you disconnect.
3. Instead they keep your authentication ticket for as long as possible. (this can be days, if you did not connect to another source game server)
4. Rename it to a bot name so that they show up on the player list and HIGH in ranks of places like consortium or gametrackers etc. Because they have "Real players" on !
5. You avatar will still how you are playing on FASTPATH , even though you are not there.
In short: They harvest auth tickets to make their server look full, Get more players, Ask for money, repeat
I have created a blacklist file for everyone to use - this will avoid you connecting to any of the fake servers by mistake.
To use it, download the zip file and extract server_blacklist.txt
For HL2DM:
Open hl2dm > open the server browser > open Blacklist Servers tab > click "Import Servers From File" > Select fastpathblacklist.txt which you exported earlier
For BLACKMESA:
Close Blackmesa
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms\cfg
Paste the server_blacklist.txt file in that folder.
Say Yes if asked to replace.

Post these everywhere:

The server owner and their group: (you can report each profile as SCAMMER - and tell Steam that they are destroying and flooding games making it impossible to find a legitimate server to play on.)

If you do know or know someone who knows a social media influencer.
Please forward them the link of this forum post.
If Steam gets enough pressure in exposing the fact that they are turning a blind eye on a problem affecting their paying clientele - they will react.
