As it was an internal request but still a public function I will post the outcome here.
So the new feature you requested is now complete. There were a lot of tests etc. It works, but we also need to strength test it later on when the server is full to see if all works properly.
How it works:
When a player joins the game for the first time on a map as you know he has a protection.
This remains but now a counter stars for 45 seconds.
If the player did not move in 45 seconds, the player will be placed into SPEC and showed a message on screen:
You are now in SPEC, to join say JOIN
I still encourage using AFK, if you know you are going to be AFK because:
1. You go in spec at next map quicker
2. You do not get the pop up every time you are automatically placed in spec then
So basically this new feature is for new players, who do not yet know about AFK, or for people who forget to type AFK
TOPOL Another thing to note:
If you have moved and if you disconnect and reconnect, as you know, you have lost your initial spawn protect. But you also lost your auto spec, and it is not needed because a player will kill you anyway as then you are not protected.
Another thing to note:
If the map has less than 48 seconds left, the auto spec will not be applied.
