We have slowly climbed to the top of the European HL2DM ladder and remained there for several months!

It has been incredible and I thank each and everyone of you for the amazing time!

Currently we have a bit of an alarming dip. Perhaps many of you are taking a break from Hl2DM, which is understandable.

I would like to ask you to pass on the word to your friends about Zeitgeist, perhaps they would also like to try HL2DM / the servers !

P.S. For stronger players, why not take the time to educate / giggle with a weaker player, it could be constructive, as a motivation or as a welcome.
I think hitting hard on much weaker players, can discourage them and get them to look elsewhere

A weak player will not play if he does not want to learn. And we cannot help them. Fata is a good example, just remember what level they were. These are the kind of players we should value.
It is not to argue that strong players are to blame, the reason can be different.

Me and some of admins trying to be ez with newbies, when it's possible. This may a part of reason, im agree, but not main and we must to find main or
aggregate of reasons and make all possible to fix it. Maintaining judgment, not succumbing to emotions. I saw, when peoples leave because rtv 5 times in a row. I saw when they leave because music and they didn't ask how disable it. I saw when they leave because they cant join from spec, and they didn't ask how. I saw when they leave before join, because downloading. Of course, i saw when they quit in rage, they was strong players and pure noobs. I saw when they leave just because. And this does not mean that we should take it all away. It can be all possible reasons. We must appreciate and increase what we have

I respectfully disagree. the main reason for RQ's is when a weaker player gets hit very very hard. I can see this every day.
Like I said before, an extreme example of this was actually kenay. Or yesterday entyz when we were playing.
The fact that some admins go easier on players when possible is of course the sensible thing to do. Non admins have no reason to make an effort in being sensible though (although I don't really see why efforts need to be made in order to be sensible)

We came up with a solution to give extra armor to players who have under 8000 points. This worked well but I have reduced it a bit.
So I will add an extra item_battery (there were 2 and now 3) when they spawn.

Now onto Salo's other suggestions:

1. Maintaining judgment, not succumbing to emotions
I am not sure what is meant by that? Since I was the only person writing in that post, I take it as a patronizing comment, find it not constructive, and am offended by it.

2. Newer players who quit because they cannot join
I have seen this a few times, many disconnect and reconnect.
Nonetheless, I have added a rule to the auto spec part.
If the player has less than 8000 points AND is in the ranking database, do not send him to auto spec.

3. RTV
Not too much can be done, I think common sense needs to be applied

4. Downloading
This happens much much less now. But I am still often shaving off external download sounds etc and replacing them with ingame content where and when possible.
I have explored the idea of partial downloads but that is quite hard to achieve and would result in errors etc.

5. Music
I cannot think of a solution here. If players start with music 0, then they will never think of asking how to switch it on or even know there is music on the server.
And the vibe of the server really is based on music, for example dance models etc.
I cannot think of a way to please new joiners in that manner. (most players who ask how do I switch music off, I find, are players who are kind of toxic in the future, the kind of player who will criticize everything on a server etc. We should have no time for those)

6. You cannot join because you do not accept server downloads
Same goes here, also these kind of players are usually hyper toxic, so these quit before they can even join, that plugin was the greatest thing after sliced bread

About the music, I think you could put vol20 as default (Im planning to publish a video in here about the zg music)
About the maps, yesterday was a lot of shitty maps in a row, we needed to vote a map to avoid constant rtv, I know that zg need maps but having a lot of bad maps (at least for me) isnt good at all, we could add the classic maps to the cycle

I mean, don't panic. Yesterday, when you leave 2am, was 8 players on server.

Remove all mention of fastpath, we need to stop doing free PR for them. All mentions are PR, not meaning bad or good. This has been the case at all times.

Vol20 by default is good idea i think, but music isnot big problem.

Pirate cove seems to have taken our night crowd, clint, Gray, bad azz, etc. That server seem to now be their first port of call in the evening.
