Many people only see the side that is bad for them, because basically, unfortunately, most people are selfish. I always say to think about the other person's situation. It is not a good approach for the professional player to let himself go, or to shoot to the side, or less. For example, I wouldn't like it if someone lets me win or doesn't play the way they usually do.

I understand that a lot of people don't like being killed a couple of times, but I told Bubbles before that this is usually approached from the server side. On this server, there is a respawn kill, faster movement, allowed bunny jumping, use of infinite mines (which many pro players like to use), which even this basically spoils the mood of a new player, which is why there are servers that are specially tuned for the beginner player. As I told Bubbles, 2 of ZG. there is a server, one of which is match, which no one uses, it could be converted for example for practicing beginner players. It is true that many players play on this server, but 95% are professional players who have not just started. So I say that the 95% should not be tuned to the beginner player, but that the match server should be converted for the beginner players, for learning and education. And so everyone is doing well.

I read words of wisdom in all posts. I agree and disagree with some things
I don't know that I can bring much to the table in this conversation but I will write something.

The beginning
ZG was created for hosting a friendly and yet competitive community, imagine that a combination that is very tricky and has always required a fine balance. Miraculously it has worked well for years with some ups and downs.
ZG is designed to "discourage" the players who take themselved TOO seriously by default. These used to be the extremely rude and toxic players. The way this was done was by lifting the mood/satire. A few examples:
"win" (used to be very arrogant) but now makes a funny sound
"gay" (says that the person typing it IS gay)
Troll decals, naked models, etc etc, all these things helped bring giggles to the server whilst working as a shield against toxic behviour. It mostly worked a treat.
(all we had to read was "shit server". Then they would leave never to come back! COIN

What we do to help keeping newer players in:
It is the FIRST impressions that counts - this will define whether a player will stay or never come back
When the server is in friendly mode and all the good mooders are around joking and having a good time, (ZG defauly imo) that is when players are most likey to enjoy their first experience and come back.
If a player arrives and gets killed 24 times and does not wtf is happening, their chance of coming back is 0 (sorry bl00d) just stating a fact.

I sometimes shoot to the side when a new player is in, just so that he can stay in a couple of maps and get a vibe of the server and I try communicate with them.
If a player has under 2500 points - they get extra armor at spawn - this is ok because if a player is strong, the 2500 points is reached in inder a minute.

Bl00d, I can however understand your frustration, you are there and want to play the game, and I completely understand that.

But there are 2 sides to this story, if you want the reward of being able to play hard and have a good time, this is something you have to wait for a little when the server gets a little busy then let rip.
But when the server is at its most vulnerable we as regulars of the server need to unite and basically be "hosts" - I used to tell the admins: the customer is always right, treat them well. ( I used to ask "how many guests?" )
Then I used to ask xyz how are you doing welcome here can I get you a drink? Champagne? Hot towel?

But seriously, the ONLY way to get the crowd is to keep a good reputation. Be our nicest and MOST welcoming

The reason why all is allowed:
This is so to avoid conflict and maximize fun - it is a foolproof method of avoiding discussions about who spawnkilled who for instance. You cannot imagine how many servers collapsed on themselved just because of too many rules.

ZG Today:
The 2 major problems are
1. fastpath
These fake server suck 90% of newcomers into an abyss, they will never be able to find us or any other legit server
2. most our admins are offline - mostly life, kids, significant other etc.

ZG Future and how you can help
I am glad to see that new players are being present on the server (and I thank both bl00d and den4k for being regulars here) but if we want a chance of keeping that leftover 10% new players and making them part of our gang/server regulars, we must prioritize being good hosts first, having great fun and reaping the benefits of a full server second.
Try inviting new players as friend, to the groups (steam chat, steam group, discord etc.) use the WHOIS function for this.
Posting screenshots also helps a lot

If we keep this up we can get back to very busy then play as hard as we like whilst still having great fun!

Unfortunately there has to be a temporary ban until we decide how to handle this.
We do not welcome trolling in our server.
If you want to play again in our server, a good advise would be to apologize and not to troll again.

Good player terrible troll agree with the ban just pure toxic never says hi! or Bye! I also think he camps Fata very often you will find yourself on the end of his waiting around some corner.

He would never take onboard new players and respect there learning and to slow down perm ban for me

Hello, just my 2cents. I 100% agree with you all.
That player named "bloOd" is focused to Spawnkill at all costs and is abusing that hard. No fun at all one new player rage quited immediately.
He also spawn killed me after I waited nearly one minute to spawn. Is not nice. Very toxic I guess.
