Hello,

I would like to present myself and make things clear. I've been playing for a long time ago on hl2 dm, then I came across your serv which I found very nice because of the variety of maps and funny sounds, and its dynamics.
I like playing with crowbar. Before the french guys came, I had no problems at all. But since they are here, especially Pascal, he gets angry just because I only play with crowbar. I'm not cheating, just playing with the weakest weapon of the game but it's funnier to me. I talked to Bubble and he did minor changement on the nobar vote, but come on guys, are you aware about the totalitarian tendencies of your serv? It's just a game, but apparently some people are not welcome to choose what weapons they want (besides, it's one of the weakest, while everyone else is also playing with one main weapon, the shotgun, waht a hypocrisy). So at the end, I wasn't able to play half the time because of the nobar vote.
Above all, I played today for 5 mins, and then it was written: "crowbar removed", without any vote, just like that. I guess it's Bubble that did that but I'm not 100% sure. At first I thought he was here to help me, and then this kind of knife in the back is very treacherous.
This gives a very bad impression now on your serv; I don't know if this message will be seen, but at least I tried.

I can see why your post did not get replies so far by it ... Here is my 2 cents on this:

I think if we were totalitarian, we would have removed weapons and not even listened to your messages.
You must understand that the reason why we were reluctant in helping you in the first place was because your approach was far from nice.
You told me that you would tell your team that Zeitgeist is shit if I do not remove that NOBAR vote. To me that is blackmail. When I suggested opening a topic on the forum you told me that you did not want to do it for this.
If you do not invest your time in us, why should we invest time in your demands ?
All my advice fell on deaf ears. And I kept on getting direct unpleasant complaints from you in the steam chat.

Despite your wrong approach as mentioned above, I have spent 2 hours modifying the code in order to forbid further NOBAR vote 1000 seconds after a successful one.
Even with that I did not get a thank you but more complaints to me personally which lead for me removing you from my steam friends.

You see it is a shame, because if you had approached us in a kind way we would have gone far and beyond to help you. The problem here is your attitude. You cannot go shouting at admins as if you were not given a service you are paying for. I don't think you are a patron / contributor of Zeitgeist are you ?

Going forward I suggest you correct your attitude towards the team that build this server. It does not cost very much to Be Nice.

I was actually almost half asleep and the messages woke me up: Message received from the crowbar guy to me directly:

en plus pour une fois personne disait rien. Je comprendrais jamais cette dictature c'est fou. On s'acharne autant sur un mec qui cheat que sur un mec qui joue avec un baton waaaaa

That guy has been causing me grief since day 1 and despite my many efforts in trying to accommodate him has kept on complaining and complaining and now accusations of dictature?
Also he seems to connect by coincidence ONLY when Pascal is there. Does not play with us any other time, does not try to be friendy, just demands and complains.
I am washing my hands off that guy now - Other admins would have done so a LONG time ago, and I would have agreed with them, because it would have saved them all that time wasted trying to be nice to someone who isn't actually ever going to be nice to us back but instead only cause us grief.

We would never ban a player without a valid reason. Well you gave us this reason and received your wages.

If you don't get along with our server rules, get your own server and adapt it to make it fun for you. (a crowbar only server) You can piss off as many people as you want with your crowbar ...
