BNB Maps

I have been personally contacted by a BNB Admin, who asked me to remove all BnB maps from our cycles, to be honest I had already done that before he sent me that message. The maps all have a lot of various settings that the server cannot always remove before load..
Modified gravity, Music and so on. There is also a LOT of advertising for BNB HL2DM server. If the mapper does not want their map into cycles I am happy to oblige - in my opinion it is a win win situation here, we don't advertise for the mapper and their server, and they are also apparently happy that we do not

The maps however do remain in the Maplist and anyone is welcome to play should they wish to or download it from the website.

If anyone has a different opinion on this or even the same, shoot

Hello, what I said is that it's not correct to use maps made to be used on our server, and fitting our gameplay (low grav, no rpg and so on) without asking, and then complaining because those characteristics are not appreciated. And even less correct is to replace our banner with your own, even if only by a server side plug in. I don't think our friend gtamike would be happy seeing his maps running on other servers with his credits deleted, hidden or replaced. I am wrong?
The correct way to act is just this:
Do you like a [bnb] tagged map?
Contact the mapper and the server owner, credits and server banners are there for that, ask if you can use it, play the map as it is, or ask for a version adapted to your needs. We have done it for many clans, with no problem.

Understood loud and clear, and also acknowledged in the private conversation we had.
Also, in that private conversation, apologies were issued for the banner cover, which by the way was only on for a short amount of time, as I did realize it was not the correct thing to do.

I was under the clear impression that the matter was resolved as I have replied to your requests and met your demands as well as understood you concerns.
However I am saddened to hear that bad advertising is now being made about ZG. So apparently there is still grief.

If that is the case I would kindly ask that you contact me directly with your concerns and any further requests you may have and I will be happy to listen to them.
I do not think that going to post bad publicity about ZG is the right thing to do here, I hope you agree.

Is your first post not trying to make fools of [B.n.B] (bad advertising)? trying to ridicule us, especially when I have read the conversation between you and AlcyT and in the first line from AlcyT it was acknowledge that you were removing our maps and not a request to remove our maps.

Maybe you should have thought twice before starting this thread with, what is after all, a false statement, surely that comes under your "Bad Advertising" banner

Server chat from you and others rubbished the maps, but being 100% honest I don't care if you like the maps or not... we do, they are made for our server and suit our play, personally I hate the so called "pro" maps and stock maps... each to their own and all that. Our maps are normally about 300 gravity, you would have noticed that when on our server playing? So if the sounds, logos, gravity bothered you that much why upload them in the first place?

I was on your server on more than one occasion and all our logos, graphics etc were gone from the maps I played and replaced with ZG, no message came up saying "map by" etc..

The best thing you could do is delete this thread totally and next time you make a posting like this keep it factual and not a fabrication to try to make yourself look good and others look bad.

I'm personally quite a chilled relaxed guy, I'm just grateful people want to play some of my maps. Anything server side map modded I don't really care about because I don't pay the server bills.

However you can make protection to future Maps though if you want to keep them more exclusive/private. I believe you can remove many things from your maps using "entity spy" (for the client fast download version of the map) like for example player spawns and keep the unmodded map on the main server. I've know server admins to do this to protect some complicated map assets but I've not tested myself.

See this as a learning curve guys.

I am not deleting anything at all because I have nothing to hide.
I have never talked about bad advertising or ridiculed anyone in my first post.

For me the map issue is resolved. After all this drama I might even remove them from our Maplist.

The ban on the other hand was issued for 2 reasons:

1. After I realized that you were badmouthing ZG to some of my contacts, I tried to go on your server to speak to you about this and realized that I was banned!

2. Furthermore, in the past few months I have been made aware by many that players get banned by yourself because they are better players than you and that you are quite the troublemaker.
And after your messages, and witnessing this ridiculous outrage and the way you are behaving, it would appear they were quite correct.
I am not willing to let anyone esp. admins who are unfair towards players and cause so much drama play on our server.

I think most sever owners will agree.
