I am banned from VERRUES

I wanted to play at verrues a little today, but I could not connect because apparently I am banned

I think we made an effort to be friendly and neighbourly with them. We welcome them to our server while theirs was broken, we even went further and accepted to unban their player Stone so he could come in and play as well.

Now I am getting news that bad words about ZG is being spread amongst their VG and hl2dm.net circles (Where stone plays), and then the surprise that I am banned on Verrues.

Not very nice I have to say.

So to recap on this, the ban for Abra and Myself seems to have been some sort of revenge ban by the looks of things. Not very nice. As our bans were quite legit.
Sting: Cheating (using god mode on players)
Stone: Trolling and trashtalking ZG on the VRU forum and elsewhere
Badman: Trashtalking ZG on the VRU forum

We have been lenient and unbanned Sting and Stone as we were asked to, but I was told very recently that it is Because we unban them that we would get unban from Verrues.

We were always friendly towards the verrues players, and welcome them on our server while theirs was broken. We enjoy their company so it was anyway a pleasure for us!
However, I have to say that I received a message from Sting during that time and it went something like this:
"oh , thanks for hosting my team while our server is broken. It must be nice having a busy server for a change"

The vote on what to do about the previous bans is now reopen in the admin section.
I don't see why we should show good faith and bend our rules for players who have cheated and trolled in the past if they are not going to be nice to us and at least respect us.

Hi everyone !

I'm proposing a very simple agreement which is aiming at improving our mood in this difficult covidic period : a removal of all bans between Verrue and ZG, restarting from crash our diplomatic relationship !

Then after that we would ban players as usual if they behave badly.

To my knowledge, now that Stone, Sting and recently Bubbles are already de-banned - and thanks again for that! - the remaining players are Abra (ZG) and Badman (Verrues).

What do you think?

Thanks for your message DUC. It is grand to want peace for all. Ideally I am also for peace and forgiveness.

However, I am VERY divided on this as we have also had very bad experiences from unbanning (giving a second chance) to previously banned players, who were banned for very good reasons!

And like I said, I have also been told that he has been badmouthing ZG around the areas of VG and hl2dm.net as well very recently.
Whether that is true or not , cannot be verified. But by the looks on what he said in the chat, it could well be true.

I am sorry but where there is a fuck up I will point it out. I think that before throwing "unban for all's" the persons who have caused us grief, should own up to it and at the very least apologize.

The topic has a thread in the ADMIN section of the forum and is being discussed there. We need to hear from everyone so this will take time.

The reason why it took me so long was because the decision took long. We all voted. and it was 2 pages of stuff.
We have decided to reinstate the ban for the initial reasons.

REINSTATED BANS:
1. Sting - uses cheats in server (plays in god mode)
2. Stone - has trolled players and subsequently to this has written awful things about ZG on VRU forum and badmouthed ZG to other teams

BANS THAT REMAIN:
3. Badman - has contributed in a major way in the badmouthing of ZG server on their VRU forum

THE POINT: - The following reasons made us reconsider our waived bans: (1 and 2)
- The bans for Abra and myself seem to be unjustified and only a kind of revenge ban.
- We were approached and asked to unban ALL Verrues players so that we would also get unbanned from Verrues in return!

CONCLUSION:
To all Verrues who are not banned, you are still very welcome to play at our server anytime!
